The claw and its handle work together as an arm of the lever while the fulcrum is the top of its head which rests against the wooden material. The handle stretching from the head and claws are made of wood or steel coated in plastic or rubber to prevent discomfort or electricity conduct. Parts of the claw hammer include the head, handle, the face, neck and throat and claw. It is the most used type of hammer by carpenters and hence ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s also referred to as the carpenterà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s hammer.DescriptionThe head of a claw hammer is the most essential part of the hammer. Ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s made of the claw, face, neck and the wedge. The opposite face which has two claws is used to draw the nails out from the wood. The face is the flat part that is used to drive nails into a piece of wood. The weigh t of the head differs depending on the size and purpose of the hammer. This helps the hammer to amplify the amount of force applied by the muscles of the arm and the effect of gravity on the nail. Kinetic energy is stored in this hammer and upon striking on a surface opposite force is applied which is always equal to force applied from the head to a piece of nail. The equal opposite forces therefore help to drive nails on surfaces upon every strike. Typically the heads heaviness ranges between 20 to 32 ounces and the length of the handles are determined by the heads heaviness. It is only possible for the hammer to work effectively with the help of its handle. It provides an additional force for the head to attain its strength. Most handles range between 16 to 18 inches in length which should be equivalent to the weight of the head. The handle is tapered on one side for it to fit on the head. The extended part is shaped in a curved manner to necessitate a better grip during swinging o f the hammer. The speed of the head is determined by the length of the handle and space for gripping.Hammerà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s face, neck and throat work in collaboratively to provide and improve overall balance of the hammer. Neck is typically the space between the center of the head and the face while the inward curved area is the throat. These three areas are constructed in dimensional manner which equalizes their balance and effectiveness in general works of the hammer. Finally the claw is the tapered wedge which has two curved arms like metals. It works by sliding the nail in between the claws and pull it out by the grove of the extended handle part.Claw hammers come in varying sizes, colors and weight. The size is composed of small hammers which are known as tack hammers and bigger hammer known as the large framing. Tack hammers weigh little ounces since they are only used on small nails. The large framing hammers are very large in size weigh up to twenty and above ounces. These ham mers come in different colors on their surfaces. The head is always silver colored as its color of the steel. The handles are colored differen...
